Practices
Monday through Thursday Evening practices will start this year on Monday, May 18. Practices run from 6:30PM – 8:30PM. You will pick the best one hour slot for your schedule. You do not have to attend the same session all season, but you can only attend one session each day (6:30PM or 7:30PM).
Monday through Friday Morning practices will start on Monday, June 22 and will run from 7:00AM – 10:00AM. The final day of practice for most divers is Friday, July 17. You do not have to attend the same session all season, but you can only attend one session each day (7:00AM, 8:00AM, or 9:00 AM. Don't forget that practices on Tuesday mornings are reserved for those competing in that night’s A meet.
Please monitor the website, particularly the Practice Schedule page, for more details including days when we do not have practice, such as Memorial Day (Monday, May 25) and before Independence Day (Friday, July 3).
If your child also swims, we are flexible, and attending a partial practice is ok. Just let the coaches and us know.
Meets
This year, we moved down to Division 4 and have five A meets with two B meets so far.
Our first A meet is June 23. Please check the schedule on the website for more details. As a reminder, you can sync the pool calendar with your personal calendar by clicking the subscribe link on the schedule page.
It helps us out greatly if you could please visit the meet schedule on Swimtopia and please mark the meets as available or not available. It helps us plan meet lineups if we know in advance who can and cannot be there. To clarify, we are not asking if you will or will not compete, just that you can or cannot be there due to vacations, camps, etc. We will later select meet competitors from those that CAN be there.
Social Events
We are bringing back some of your favorite social events for this summer, including our lip sync, team banquet, and pancake breakfast. Please check the schedule on the website for more details and ways you can help. It helps us out a lot to RSVP in advance for events, so we can make sure we are prepared with enough chairs, snacks, etc.
Spirit Wear
We are managing our spirit wear orders the same this year as last year. You will NOT be ordering it during registration, rather it's a separate site linked below. Feel free to purchase items any time after (or before) registering, but all orders must be in by May 9. You can purchase additional Dive Team T-Shirts for others in the family through this site.
The store link is on the front page of the team website.
The team suit is new this year and can be purchased at Sport Fair. The team suit is not required. If last year’s suit still fits, that’s great. Any swimsuit will do, but girls should wear one piece suits. There is no deadline for the team suit.
Volunteers and Upcoming Clinics
We cannot have a successful season without wonderful parent volunteers. There are many ways you can help around the pool at meets and social events.
It takes over a dozen volunteers to run a meet. We strongly encourage you to attend one of the upcoming NVSL clinics to learn more about how these roles work or refresh your recollection. Clinic dates and locations and more details can be found on our website at https://dhdive.swimtopia.com/clinicschedule
You do not have to attend the judging clinic to judge, but we strongly encourage everyone to attend even if you do not intend to judge a meet. It is a great way to learn more about the sport and what your child is attempting to do. Very few new parents to diving understand the ins and outs of this niche sport, so these judge clinics provide a great foundation for what diving is and will help you talk to your child about it, which can help them remain interested in the sport.
Many of our judges in the last few years have been parents of our seniors whom have now graduated, so we will really need some new parents to take judging clinics to ensure we have enough judges to run our meets both at home and away. We cannot have meets without the required number of judges.
Parent Q&A and Kick Off
During the first practices on Monday, May 18, Kirsten and June will be available to answer questions and chat about the upcoming season.
We will have a season kick off social on Wednesday, May 27 where you can meet the coaches and mingle with other team members and families before practices begin.

That’s it for now. If you have any questions, please send them our way. We look forward to seeing you on deck!
Kindest regards
Kirsten Robbins and June Seymour
