I hope everyone had fun at the lipsync last night! It looked like everyone had a great time!

The season is hitting its stride and things are getting very busy. This week we have Wally Martin Sunday, A meet Tuesday, B Meet Thursday, Pancake Breakfast Friday, Cracker Jack Sunday, so let's break it down:

Friday Breakfast - Pancake Day

This is the final Friday Breakfast of the year and it's the always-popular pancake day! This one requires more work than handing out donuts and fruit, so please check the signup genius and help out where you can. This is a combined swim and dive effort.

Meet Availability

Please take a moment THIS WEEKEND and mark availability for the following meets, in order of importance:

Divisionals* - That meet is two weeks away, but we must know who can go to this meet now. We can only send 16 divers to this meet, so we will only select from those that have let us know they can be there. We will be finalizing that list on Monday morning.

A Meet Tuesday - At Dunn Loring (near Merrifield)

Cracker Jack Sunday - This is a gigantic league-wide meet for those that are not going to divisionals. The rules have been adjusted to make it accessible to divers of all ages. Divers compete against other divers of the same chronological age, not the standard age ranges. It is a fabulous meet and it's a great experience for developing divers. I have to submit the final list of our participants by Wednesday.

B Meet Thursday against Truro and Sleepy Hollow Rec - Like Cracker Jack described above, divers compete against divers of their same age with modified rules to make it more accessible. This is typically for kids that haven't had any A meet experience this year, but some younger divers that may have only done one A meet or are doing jumps can participate.

Please RSVP your attendance to the end of season banquet - this is an event for the whole family. Non-diving siblings are welcome. We provide the food and will entertain you with an end-of-year video. We hand out awards as we say goodbye until next year #sadface

*I'm new here. What is divisionals?

Divisionals is the championship meet for all the divers in our division, so against all the other 5 teams on our schedule this year. This is an individual meet and no team scores are kept. The top two finishers in each age group qualify for the All Stars meet the following weekend (July 30). The coaches and I will develop the list of our 16 participants based on which meet is the right fit for them, developmentally and competitively. (Cracker Jack or Divisionals, because divers cannot do both)
